I am holy to the LORD my God; He has chosen me in Christ out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be His own, His treasured possession. The LORD did not set His affection on me and chose me out of merit but because He loved me and kept the oath He swore to father Abraham by giving us the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that the LORD my God is God:
- He is the faithful God, •
- He keeps His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands. •
- But those who hate Him He will repay to their face by destruction; He will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate Him.
Therefore, I take care to follow His word. Because I pay attention to His word and carefully follow it:
- The LORD my God keeps His covenant of love with me, as He swore to my forefathers of faith. He loves me and blesses me and increases my numbers.
- He blesses the fruit of my body, the crops of my land — my food, new wine, and oil — the work of my hands and my investments. •
- I am infinitely and overtly blessed; none of my children will be childless, nor any of my business without profit. •
- The LORD keeps me free from every disease; no kind of infection afflicts me. •
- He will not inflict on me the horrible diseases of Egypt, but He inflicts them on all who hate me. No trial of faith is too strong for me to dare; no challenge is too hard for me to overcome. •
- I am afraid of no one, spirit or flesh because I know the track record of Jehovah whom I serve. •
- He defeats my enemy as He did to Egypt. •
- It is dangerous to scare me; it prompts God into action on my behalf. The Lord defends my cause; no one escapes His punishments that resist His calling on my life.
- I am not terrified by the devil, for the LORD my God, who lives in me, is a great and awesome God. •
- The LORD my God drives out demons before me. •
- The LORD my God has delivered them over to me through Christ, throwing them into great confusion and flight at my presence (Deut. 7: 6-23).
From six calamities He will rescue me; in seven, no harm befalls me. In famine, He ransoms me from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword. I am protected from the lash of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction comes. I laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth or the coronavirus (Job 5: 19-22).
I dwell in the shelter of the Lord, Most High and therefore rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely:
- He saves me from the fowler’s snare and the deadly pestilence. • He covers me with His feathers, and under His wings I find refuge; •
- His faithfulness is my shield and rampart. •
- I don’t fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day. Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. •
- A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. I will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because I have made the Most High my dwelling — even the LORD, who is my refuge — therefore:
- No harm befalls me; no disaster comes near my tent. God has commanded His angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways; they lift me in their hands, and I don’t strike my foot against a stone.
- I tread upon the lion and the cobra; I trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because (Put your name) loves me,” says the LORD:• “I will rescue him/her; •
- I will protect him/her, for he/she acknowledges my name. • He/she will call upon me, and I will answer him/her; •
- I will be with him/her in trouble,
- I will deliver him/her and honor him/her.
- With long life will I satisfy him/her and show him/her my salvation.” (Ps 91).
I am blessed, I help the poor; therefore, the LORD delivers me in the day of trouble. The LORD protects me and keeps me alive; I am blessed in the land and He will not surrender me to the desire of my enemies. The LORD sustains me in sickness and nurses me back to good health whenever I slip into illness (Ps 41: 1-3).
